Something more about me…

After my studies I tried to look for a paid job and unfortunately that didn’t go very smoothly. I was referred to a job in the army to gain more experience. After working for a number of years at the Commando Troops, I have taken an important step towards the social domain. I noticed that I wanted to do something for someone else because of all the experiences I have had. I then started working for a broad welfare organization. To this day, I still work with pleasure and passion in the social domain. I am proud of the work I can do. I also run my own company and focus on talent development in a very broad sense of labor (re)integration, (top) sports promotion, career development and I want to make a social impact by contributing as an advisor within the social domain.

My qualities

Perseverance, creative, enthusiastic, curious and development-oriented.

My quote

Do what you like, intrinsic motivation will take you further!

At T4YF I would like to:

Help young people discover their talents and giving them the feeling of how great it is to be able to do give something back to someone else.

I would like to help T4YF participants by…

Looking at development opportunities with a positive attitude and tackling them together, with the participant himself being the director of his talent development.

Something more about me…

In recent years I have gained a lot of experience in the sports sector where development is an important pillar. Development has always been an important part of my life because I am continuously working on my own development but also challenging others, such as colleagues and children who play sports. In the past have been a youth football coach for over 15 years, where I trained children at least three times a week. Nowadays I am the head of the youth department at a football club. This is not only on a sporting level but also on a mental level, because you must especially enjoy what you do: intrinsic motivation is the foundation of development.

My qualities

Team player, development-oriented, energetic, making connections, innovating.

My quote

You can go a long way yourself, but working together will always take you one step further.

At T4YF I would like to:

Support young people in their search for and developing their skills and allowing young people to use these skills to help others.

I would like to help T4YF participants by…

Giving them the confidence to recognize and, above all, use their own knowledge and skills.

Something more about me…

After my HBO-education in Utrecht, I gave training courses at the hospitals of Drechtsteden. After a merger, I ended up at ROC Mondriaan. From the domain of “care” I eventually switched to the domain of “welfare”.
In addition to teaching at the ROC, I was also a tennistrainer at an association in Delft. The combination of sports and theory education really appealed to me.
I currently teach the social care course at ROC Mondriaan. Within this education, I work together with the professional field on project-oriented education.

My qualities

Spontaneous, enthusiastic, interested, direct, active and connecting.

My quote

What you give is what you get back!

At T4YF I would like to:

Connect young people with volunteer work.

I would like to help T4YF participants by…

Looking at what is possible with a positive attitude.

Something more about me…

Ever since I was young, I have been a people person and I have always wanted to do something as a profession with my goal of helping people, I just didn’t know in what form yet. During my bachelor’s degree in Art Therapy, it became clear that my qualities lie in guiding people because I am a good listener and because the clients felt safe enough to confide in me because of the peace and warmth that I radiate. I always look at other people’s qualities and unique traits that make them the person they are. Before this, I was a Recruiter at a large company and I gained a lot of experience in recruiting and selecting candidates and I was responsible for the pool management of a 100 employees. Although I loved building a bond with this large pool, I felt a greater need to delve more deeply with my candidates and provide more ‘tailor-made’ guidance. I also wanted to work for a company where I could make more impact, which is why I now work for T4YF. I also work with elderly people with an early form of dementia to ensure that they can continue to live comfortably at home for as long as possible.

My qualities

Connector, creative, empathetic, development-oriented, go-getter.

My quote

“Be yourself and use what makes you special!”

At T4YF I would like to:

Helping to empower young people and contributing to their personal and professional development.

I would like to help T4YF participants by…

Engage in conversation about their qualities and provide a listening ear.

Jeanne Abdulla

My qualities

Out-of-the-box thinking, innovation, empathetic listening and collaboration.

My quote

“Everybody is a genius. But if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing that it is stupid”. Albert Einstein

I recently completed my international master’s degree in International Security Studies. I am 27 years old myself and, outside my work as a volunteer, I am also committed to promoting the rights of people who are marginalized in society.
